The Ochre Story

Much of our First Nations ancient history was discovered through their rock paintings which you can find all over Australia. The First Nations' use of ochre in telling stories has helped us to learn so much more about their lives, their culture, and their history. Ochre has also been used in so many other fascinating ways and is still being used today to create, tell stories, heal, and celebrate.
